Indian Dal

Add the following in a saucepan over high heat:
 

  •     2 Tbsp. ghee

  •     1 tsp. cumin

  •     1 tsp. mustard seeds


Mix and then add:
 

  •     1 Tbsp. chopped ginger

  •     1 Tbsp. ground coriander seeds

  •     1 tsp. ground long pepper

  •     1 chopped onion


Continue mixing, then add:

  •     1 cup of chopped tomatoes

  •     1 tsp. turmeric powder

  •     3 tsp. of salt


Continue frying, then add:
 

  •     cooked yellow lentils

  •     1 cup of water to achieve the desired consistency


Bring everything to the boil and then turn off the heating.
Serve with some freshly chopped coriander leaves and some chili to garnish.
