Elimination Diet

Every bite we take either builds us up or breaks us down. Throughout our lifetime we bring in about 25 tons of foreign matters into our body through our mouth in the form of food.

 

Before we had the pharmaceutics, every unease was treated with nutritious foods and herbs. In the Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine we see these treatments still today. Scientific studies are re-recognizing the power of food. Symptoms like chronic fatigue, foggy thinking, bad skin conditions and even joint pain can be a consequence of mal digestion and food sensitivities. Foods can be either nutritious or irritants for our body. In order to get to the root of what is irritating our bowl, we often suggest our clients to do an elimination diet. This can be a fun and an inspiring experience when doing it with friends and having a supporting community to share recipes.

 

How does it work?

You eliminate the most common irritants from your diet for one month. Those include gluten, dairy, eggs, corn and soy. If you want to go a step further, you can add sugar and alcohol. After one month you reintroduce one by one and see how your body reacts to each of them.
